A named future precinct - City of Hume (long-term planning)

Schools

Future school sites, and the schools already here.

In Victoria, new school sites are reserved inside a precinct structure plan. Because Sunbury West has no plan yet, no sites have been reserved.

Future school sites

When the Victorian Planning Authority prepares a precinct structure plan it identifies land for government primary and secondary schools, and land available to non-government providers. For Sunbury West, that work is scheduled to commence between 2029/30 and 2033/34.

Existing schools nearby

The Sunbury township is served by established government primary schools, government secondary colleges, and Catholic and independent options. Availability and zoning vary year to year, so check directly with each school.

Special schools and senior campuses

Sunbury also has specialist and senior secondary provision within the wider Hume network, with additional options in Gisborne and Craigieburn.

Buy in the right school zone. HALP maps catchments.

Tell us which schools matter to your family and the HALP team will look at what is for sale inside the catchments you care about across Melbourne's growth corridors.

Ask about catchments

School zones change regularly and enrolment is never guaranteed by address. Always confirm catchments directly with the school and the Victorian Department of Education before making a property decision.
